How we helped Rhys & Lauren Buy Their Newcastle East Apartment

Rhys and Lauren were first home buyers who were struggling to find the right property. They both had busy work schedules, which made it difficult to find the time to research the market and attend open homes. They also lacked experience in the purchasing process, having never purchased before, so they were unsure of what to expect. 

The Hurdles 

While Rhys & Lauren were Novocastrians through and through, they weren’t overly familiar with the local market seeing as they weren’t avid property enthusiasts. They were worried about overpaying for a property, or making a mistake that would cost them money in the long run. 

The Process 

We met with Rhys and Lauren to discuss their needs and objectives. We realised that they loved walking through properties but had no idea what to do once they realised they liked something. The best approach was therefore to allow Rhys & Lauren to search themselves, and as their buyers agent, we would step in when it came to crunch time. 

And so we began our journey. Over the course of a few months, we helped Rhys & Lauren realise that what they truly wanted was lifestyle close to the beach. We also provided them with market insights and advice, guiding them to look in the right areas.  

And finally, they found the one. Once they flagged it with us, we completed our detailed due diligence reporting, provided them data-driven pricing advice and then finally negotiated a great price on their behalf. 

The Result 

With the right strategy, the stars aligned and we were fortunate enough to have our offer accepted over another buyer. It was a privilege to tell them that in 6 weeks they’d be moving into their beautiful one-bedroom unit with ocean views in the heart of Newcastle. The unit was close to local cafes and restaurants, it was exactly what they were after.
