How We Helped Sally Win At Her First-Ever Auction

Sally had never been to an Auction before, let alone bid at one. When she discovered her dream townhouse in Cooks Hill was heading to auction, she didn’t want her lack of experience to hinder her chances of purchasing the property. The prospect of having to navigate the auction process on her own left her very uncertain. Fortunately, she discovered that we offer an individual auction bidding service so gave us a call!

The Hurdles

Sally's challenges were clear. She didn't know where to start, and the entire auction process seemed like a maze of confusion. The unknown around not only the requirements prior to, but also on the day were overwhelming. Sally was hesitant to bid for herself; she knew her emotions might get the best of her, potentially leading to a poor bidding strategy and unnecessarily exceeding her budget.

The Process

We met with Sally for a 30-minute auction bidding strategy meeting. During this meeting, we educated sally on all things auction and developed a bidding strategy that encompassed her brief, the property’s requirements and kept in mind the selling agencies typical auction processes.

One of the critical steps along the way was helping Sally determine the property's appropriate valuation and setting a locked-in bidding limit for the day. This was a crucial part of our strategy to ensure Sally wouldn't overpay for the property.

We then personally took care of all essential requirements and paperwork needed before the auction day. We used our knowledge of the auctioneer’s usual auction practice to our advantage which helped give us a competitive edge.

We then pulled this all together and bid for Sally on auction day.

The Result

Thanks to our help, Sally achieved a great outcome. Even at her first-ever auction, she emerged as the successful bidder and secured her dream unit in Cooks Hill. Not only did she purchase the property at a great price, but Chamberlain Brown made the entire process seamless and stress-free. Sally also gained valuable experience and confidence in navigating the world of property auctions along the way.
